2020 Chicago Payments Symposium

This year’s Chicago Payments Symposium brought together payments industry thought leaders and policymakers to learn, debate and share provocative ideas virtually for the first time. With more speakers from around the globe and a broader mix of payments stakeholders, the event more than doubled its attendance.

Federal Reserve Forms FedNowSM Pilot Program

The Federal Reserve is seeking eligible members of the FedNow Community (Off-site) to participate in the FedNow Pilot Program and collaborate on the development, testing and adoption of the FedNow Service. Interested individuals, who are not members of the FedNow Community, should submit the FedNow Community participant profile form (Off-site) today.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta recently released a paper, Shifting the Focus: Digital Payments and the Path to Financial Inclusion, which explored opportunities to enhance economic mobility and resilience for people without access to digital payments, especially those relying on cash as a primary payment method and without access to a traditional bank account. Deadline Extended: BPC E-invoice Semantic Model Request for Industry Comment

The Business Payments Coalition (BPC) asked for industry feedback, by December 1, on e-Invoice Semantic Model Information Elements associated with the most commonly used business processes for invoice exchange in the North American market.
