Engaging with payments stakeholders is an important part of the Federal Reserve’s leader catalyst role within the payments industry, and a vital step toward achieving safe, ubiquitous and faster payments in the United States.
Some of our best opportunities to hear from industry leaders come from our in-person gatherings. Our past events have proven very popular with FedPayments Improvement Community members, both for the rich dialog and information exchange they produce, as well as the networking and relationship building opportunities they provide. Drawing on this success, we are hosting a series of roundtables at the upcoming Money 20/20 USA conference in Las Vegas.
Topics will include:
- FedNowSM Service: Laying the Foundation for Innovation – Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a roundtable on the recently announced FedNow Service – a new interbank 24x7x365 real-time gross settlement service to support the payment and settlement of faster payments in the United States. Representatives from the Federal Reserve will be on-hand for an exciting discussion on proposed features for the FedNow Service and industry readiness.
Monday, October 28, 9:00 – 10:30 AM PT - Fraud Factors and Bad Actors – Participants at this session will learn about the Federal Reserve’s payments security priorities, including synthetic identity payments fraud and the Fraud Definitions Work Group efforts. They’ll engage in meaningful dialogue with Fed leaders and industry peers on these very important and interesting fraud topics!
Monday, October 28, 12:00 – 1:30 PM PT - Go Global: A Dialogue on Progress and Pain in Cross-Border Payments – Federal Reserve representatives and participants will discuss the cross-border payments landscape, including systemic challenges, industry initiatives and further opportunities for collaboration.
Monday, October 28, 2:30 – 4:00 PM PT
