Lael Brainard took office as a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System on June 16, 2014, to fill an unexpired term ending January 31, 2026.
Prior to her appointment to the Board, Dr. Brainard served as Undersecretary of the U.S. Department of Treasury from 2010 to 2013 and Counselor to the Secretary of the Treasury in 2009. During this time, she was the U.S. Representative to the G-20 Finance Deputies and G-7 Deputies and was a member of the Financial Stability Board. She received the Alexander Hamilton Award for her service.
From 2001 to 2008, Dr. Brainard was Vice President and the Founding Director of the Global Economy and Development Program and held the Bernard L. Schwartz Chair at the Brookings Institution, where she built a new research program to address global economic challenges.
Dr. Brainard served as the Deputy National Economic Adviser and Deputy Assistant to President Clinton. She also served as President Clinton’s personal representative to the G-7/G-8.
From 1990 to 1996, Dr. Brainard was Assistant and Associate Professor of Applied Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management. She has published numerous articles on a variety of economic topics and is the editor or coeditor of several books.
Previously, Brainard worked in management consulting at McKinsey & Company.
She received a B.A. with university honors from Wesleyan University in 1983. She received an M.S. and a Ph.D. in economics in 1989 from Harvard University, where she was awarded a National Science Foundation Fellowship. She is also the recipient of a White House Fellowship.

Mr. Sapenaro joined the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis in 1995 and currently serves as first vice president and chief operating officer. He is responsible for directing the Bank’s operations at the St. Louis office as well as at its branch offices in Little Rock, Ark., Louisville, Ky., and Memphis, Tenn.
Prior to being named to his current position in January 2006, Mr. Sapenaro spent eight years managing and leading various Federal Reserve operations and initiatives in support of the U.S. Treasury. He also spent 10 years at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, holding a variety of managerial and official positions in the Operations Division of the Bank, including lengthy stints as the officer-in-charge of the Bank’s Automated Clearing House and Funds Transfer operations.
Mr. Sapenaro received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Missouri—Kansas City in 1985. He is married and has three children.

Kenneth C. Montgomery, first vice president and chief operating officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, is responsible for the Bank’s financial and U.S. Treasury services, information technology, regional outreach and community development, strategic planning, human resources, corporate support, and administrative activities.
In a national capacity, Montgomery is the Secure Payment Strategy Leader responsible for the Federal Reserve System’s effort to reduce fraud risk and advance the safety, security, and resiliency of the U.S. payment system. As part of this initiative, he chairs the Federal Reserve’s Secure Payments Task Force, comprising more than 200 external payment industry stakeholders.
Montgomery also directs financial management strategies and operations as function director for the Federal Reserve System’s Financial Support Office. He serves on the Fed’s Financial Services Policy Committee, which sets the strategic direction for the evolving U.S. payment system, and he is a former chair and current member of the Federal Reserve’s Conference of First Vice Presidents.
Prior to joining the Boston Fed in 2011, Montgomery was executive vice president and Federal Reserve System chief technology officer based out of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. In this role, he presided over a broad swath of information technology functions that guide and support technology groups at Regional Banks across the Federal Reserve System. His responsibilities included business consulting, technology and strategic planning and standards development, information security policy and risk management, high-intensity solutions engineering, and overall national program management. Montgomery’s Fed career began at the New York Fed in 1983.
Montgomery, originally from Kearny, New Jersey, received a bachelor’s degree from Seton Hall University and M.B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
He serves as chair of the Boston Private Industry Council—Boston’s Workforce Development Board; is an executive committee member of the Boston Municipal Research Bureau, and the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce. He serves as vice chairman of the Advanced Cyber Security Center, a nonprofit consortium made up of industry, university, and government organizations.

Faster Payments Strategy Leader for the Federal Reserve System
Sean Rodriguez is faster payments strategy leader for the Federal Reserve System. As faster payments strategy leader, Rodriguez is leading activities to facilitate implementation of safe, ubiquitous, faster payments capabilities in the United States. He chaired the Federal Reserve’s Faster Payments Task Force and is now leading several work streams established by the task force that are focused on improving the speed, clearing, settlement and notification of payments in this country.
Rodriguez brings more than 34 years of experience with Federal Reserve Financial Services in operations, product development, sales and marketing. He helped establish the Federal Reserve’s Customer Relations and Support Office in 2001 including its national account program and served on the Federal Reserve’s leadership team for implementing the Check 21 initiative. More recently, Rodriguez was instrumental in the design and launch of the Federal Reserve’s Payments Industry Relations Program. Rodriguez holds a B.A. from the University of Colorado, a Graduate School of Banking Certificate from the University of Wisconsin and is an Association for Financial Professionals – Certified Cash Manager.

Connie Theien was appointed as senior vice president of the industry relations program in January 2017. As senior vice president and director of payments industry relations for the Federal Reserve, Theien leads efforts to engage payments stakeholders in advancing strategies for improving the U.S. payment system.
Theien leads stakeholder engagement by supporting various industry and Federal Reserve work groups and initiatives. She also leads the engagement strategy for the Fed Payments Improvement Community, a group that includes thousands of stakeholders from across the payments ecosystem, to improve the end-to-end speed, efficiency and security of payments in the country.
As part of the Federal Reserve’s payments improvement leadership team, she established and managed engagement for the Faster and Secure Payments Task Forces, a coalition of 500+ diverse stakeholders, both of which concluded their work efforts after publishing resources that lay important groundwork for future collaboration to address payment system improvements.
Prior to establishing the Industry Relations Program in 2013, Theien held several roles within Customer Relations and Support Office National Marketing including marketing communications director for Federal Reserve Financial Services. Theien holds a B.A. in speech communication from the University of Minnesota and an M.B.A. from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.
Laura Yens, Alton & Bird
Laura is Counsel with Alston & Bird LLP. As a senior member of the Payments team, Laura has extensive domestic and international experience in the development and distribution of, and strategies regarding, payments technologies, products and services. Laura advises clients across the Payments industry, including banks, FinTech companies, digital giants, processors, card and Faster Payments networks, merchants and start-ups. For example, Laura has advised a global payments processors on its strategic partnerships with digital wallet operators, a bank on liquidity issues related to its prepaid card program to successfully avoid regulatory enforcement actions and class action lawsuits in 110 countries, and a global technology company on its strategic partnerships with banks to launch its P2P service in countries around the world.
Before joining Alston in 2017, Laura was Senior Managing Counsel at Mastercard. At Mastercard, Laura managed a variety of cross-divisional projects supporting 2 of the 3 corporate strategic initiatives for 2017, including those essential to the Faster Payments international distribution strategy. In addition, in support of the Digital Payments and Labs division, she led a global team enabling innovation and product development for Mastercard’s Push Payments businesses (e.g., Mastercard Send and Masterpass QR), and, with her team, provided integrated legal and transaction support with significant Mastercard partners such as Alphabet (Google), Facebook, Square and Stripe. Laura also advised on Mastercard’s cross-border B2B strategy, including blockchain, and on the development and distribution of Mastercard’s digital wallet, Masterpass.
Prior to Mastercard, Laura was Associate General Counsel at The Advisory Board Company, a publicly-traded healthcare technology and consulting firm, and held positions within the legal departments at AOL Inc. and Digex, Incorporated, a Verizon subsidiary. Laura started her legal career as an Associate in the Corporate department at K&L Gates LLP.
Laura received her BA, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania, in three years, and earned her JD/MBA from Tulane University, where she received an Aldrich scholarship for academic excellence. She is a member of the New York, District of Columbia and Virginia bars.
Magnus Carlsson, Association for Financial Professionals
Magnus Carlsson is currently the Manager for Treasury & Payments at the Association for Financial Professionals. Previously Mr. Carlsson worked as the Project Manager for the SEPA project at AB Volvo and was the Arbitrage Manager for Arlington County Treasurer’s Office, managing all Arbitrage issues, debt service payments and investment management. He has also been with the Federal Home Loan Banks (FHLB) Office of Finance for seven years in positions of increasing responsibility and scope including Credit Analysis, Short-Term Debt Issuance and Investor Relations. He holds a Masters’ Degree in Finance from the University of Karlstad, and a Master’s degree in Marketing from the University of Gothenburg, School of Business, Economics and Law.
Joan Pappas, Bank of America
Ms. Pappas has been in banking for over twenty five years, with most of her experience in the credit card industry. Prior to her current position with Bank of America she held a variety of roles with MBNA America, N.A. in Wilmington, DE and Mellon Bank in Philadelphia, PA and Wilmington, DE, including Fraud Operations and Strategies, Business Development and Administration.
As a senior fraud policy analyst in Enterprise Fraud, Ms. Pappas is responsible for retail payment card and payment network fraud leadership, and management of governance routines focused on Enterprise Fraud Risk, Information Compromise Risk and Payment Network rule compliance.
Ms. Pappas was engaged in Bank of America’s EMV (chip card) implementation project and continues to evaluate acceptance and fraud mitigation for retail products. In addition, her team is responsible for routine assessments of retail fraud risk as part of an enterprise evaluation of internal and external fraud.
Ms. Pappas is a member of the Mastercard Point of Interaction Advisory Group, Mastercard’s U.S. Fraud Advisory Council and the Visa Risk Executive Council on behalf of Bank of America. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Roanoke College and currently lives in Newark, Delaware with her husband. Her son recently graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Civil Engineering.
Susan Foley, Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System
Susan Foley is a Senior Associate Director in the Board of Governor’s Division of Reserve Bank Operations and Payment Systems with responsibility for the retail payments and fiscal agency programs. Susan performs critical work to help advance the Federal Reserve’s strategic direction for the future of the U.S. payment system, including leading the Federal Reserve’s assessment of potential 24x7x365 settlement services that address the future needs of a ubiquitous real-time retail payments environment. Susan provides leadership in developing and implementing policies that influence and oversees generally the Reserve Banks’ provision of payment services and their role as fiscal agents for the U.S. Treasury and other authorized entities. Susan also researches payment system developments and publishes reports to enhance understanding of payment system issues and related regulatory matters.
Susan joined the Board in 1999 as a senior financial services analyst in the division’s retail payments program. She became manager of its financial risk management program in 2005, and became a member of the Board’s official staff in 2008. Susan has a bachelor of arts from Clark University and a master of science from Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz School of Public Policy and Management.
Bob Steen, Bridge Community Bank
Bob Steen is Chairman and CEO of Bridge Community Bank, an employee-owned community bank located in Iowa. His background includes serving as a Federal Reserve Bank examiner with the balance of his career working with and for community banks. He is currently serving as a member of the Iowa Bankers Association Payments Council and also serves on the ICBA Technology and Payments Committee, and a related Fed work group. Bob has served on the Iowa Bankers Association Board, served a 3 year term on the NACHA Board of Directors and is currently a board member of Shazam. He was a member of the Fed’s Faster Payment Task Force and was elected by his segment to represent small financial institutions on the Faster Payments Steering Committee. Steen also served on the Directories Work Group in support of the Governance Framework Foundation Team’s effort to ensure interoperability for the US payment system and end users.
Bridge Community Bank was an early adopter of check imaging technology image clearing, same day ACH , cross border payments for payroll applications and other ongoing efforts to advance payments for the community banking industry.
Seth Kressin, Experian
Seth Kressin is a senior fraud data scientist on Experian’s Fraud Analytics Team. His primary role is developing and implementing custom fraud detection models for Experian clients across a variety of industries (Telecom, Government, Auto, Credit Cards, Retail, etc), utilizing state of the art machine learning methods like Extreme Gradient Boosting, Random Forests, or Neural Networks to assist clients in stopping fraud more effectively. Additionally, Seth assisted in the development of Experian’s suite of Synthetic ID products, including the Synthetic ID detection score and rules. He has performed extensive research into how Synthetic IDs behave over their lifecycle from creation to financial loss.
Seth holds a Master’s degree in Quantitative Methods from Columbia University, and a Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University – Hawaii. Seth lives in San Diego with his wife and three kids.
John Morris, Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta
John Morris is a Retail Payments Product Specialist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, where he works in Strategic Business Relations and manages business arrangements and foreign counterparty relationships for the FedGlobal ACH Service. In this role, John coordinates activities associated with new and existing international interconnectivity solutions, engages in key international payments initiatives, participates as a member of the NACHA Payments Innovation Alliance, NACHA SIX Group, and supports U.S. ISO 20022 Low-value efforts.
To his credit, John is an AAP and holds bachelor’s degrees in Business Management and in Marketing. He also has 34 years of banking industry experience serving in essential roles associated with customer support, electronic access, international payments, operations, product development, project management, relationship management, and retail banking.
Jim Cunha, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston
As Senior Vice President of Treasury and Financial Services at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, Jim Cunha leads the Bank’s work on behalf the Bank’s cash operation, wholesale payments, mobile and digital payments.
Cunha is spearheading the Boston Fed’s efforts to study, explore, and engage with distributed ledger technology to determine applicability, potential benefits, and risks for internal and external uses. He is focused on the evolution of the technology and its potential impact on the financial services sector.Cunha is also responsible for two U.S. Treasury businesses supported by the Boston Fed: Stored Value Card, which is a chip based card prepaid used world-wide by the U.S. military; and Invoice Processing Platform, a web based portal to automate purchase order and invoice processing for Federal agencies and their vendors.
Jim has worked at the Boston Fed since 1984. Prior to that, he worked at Fleet National Bank.
He has a Bachelor of Science in accounting and philosophy from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Arts in computer science from Rhode Island College. Marianne Crowe, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston
Marianne Crowe is Vice President of Payment Strategies at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. Her primary responsibilities include overseeing industry analysis and applied research on digital and mobile retail payments and related standards and security initiatives. She leads the Mobile Payments Industry Workgroup, representing mobile payment stakeholders focused on eliminating barriers to successful adoption of mobile and digital retail payments in the U.S. She is also a member of the Boston Fed’s Management Council.
Prior Fed responsibilities include VP and Payments Liaison for the Consumer Payments Research Center, VP of Retail Business Development and Emerging Payments, and AVP for Check Image Services and Check Operations. Before joining the Fed in 2001, Marianne worked at Bank of Boston in project and operations management positions in MIS, IT and Check Operations. Marianne has an MBA from Babson College and a BA from Regis College.
Andres Rapela, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston
Andrés is assistant vice president for Secure Payments and is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of the strategy for improving security and resiliency of the U.S. payments system. This work entails collaboration with payments professionals across the financial system, and with interested stakeholders in various related industries. Andrés brings over 25 years of experience in financial services, information technology, and risk management to the Secure Payments initiative.
Prior to joining the Bank, Andrés was a vice president at Fidelity Institutional, where for eight years he led the brokerage platform technology risk management function. While at Fidelity, Andrés held several other senior leadership positions in technology, risk management, and compliance across multiple business lines.
Andrés is a graduate of Pace University and is a 2018 M.B.A. candidate at the Boston College Carroll School of Management. He is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
As a long-time resident in the Boston area, Andrés volunteers his time at the Pine Street Inn where he serves Sunday dinner to people in need of a home.
Shonda Clay, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago
Shonda Clay was named executive vice president and product manager for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago’s Customer Relations and Support Office (CRSO) effective October 16. Prior to her appointment, she served as the CRSO senior vice president, marketing, sales and industry relations, where she was responsible for leading these functions for the Federal Reserve Banks.
Clay joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas in 1991 and transitioned to the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago in 2001. Her tenure with the Federal Reserve has encompassed multiple areas of management responsibility to include internal support functions, customer support, business development and national sales and marketing. Clay was promoted to assistant vice president and national account manager in 2002. She was promoted to vice president in 2008 with responsibilities for regional sales and marketing and sales operations and analytics. She was promoted to senior vice president in 2014.
Clay holds a master’s degree in business administration from Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of North Texas.
Kassi Quimby, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago
Kassi Arana Quimby is a Vice President at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, serving on the Federal Reserve System’s Strategies for Improving the U.S. Payment System team. Kassi helped coordinate several efforts related to the Faster Payments Task Force, and is currently coordinating the industry’s Governance Framework Formation Team and other industry-facing work efforts associated with the Faster Payments Task Force’s Final Report recommendations. Prior to joining the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, Kassi worked for the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, DC and had oversight responsibility for a Federal Reserve business line supporting data consumption and use across policy and supervisory areas of the Federal Reserve. Kassi has a BBA in finance and management from the University of Miami, an MBA from George Washington University, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
Andre Reynolds, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago
Andre Reynolds is a Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago Vice President engaged in digital innovations, industry relations and faster payments initiatives. Prior to his current role, Andre has served as a Supervision and Regulation leader in multiple capacities including responsibility for risk supervision functions, savings and loan holding companies, and regional bank holding companies. Andre also serves as an adjunct professor at DePaul University where he teaches International Financial Statement Analysis and Equity Security Valuation. Prior to rejoining the Federal Reserve Bank ten years ago, Andre served as an investment advisor with a regional bond broker dealer focused on helping bank executives and regulators understand the economics of securities and portfolio management. He began his career at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago in 1990. Andre received a master’s degree in strategy from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Program, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan.
Guy Berg, Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis
Guy Berg is a vice president of the Payments, Standards, and Outreach Group. He leads Bank initiatives supporting improvement of the U.S. payments systems, including B2B payment efficiency and payment security. His group also performs payment fraud mitigation and emerging payment technology research, including Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology.
Patti Ritter, Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis
Patti Ritter is a Senior Payments Consultant in the Payments, Standards and Outreach Group at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, specializing in business to business payment efficiency topics and projects. Patti supports a variety of initiatives of the Business Payments Coalition, a volunteer industry group working for greater adoption of electronic payments, remittance data and invoices.
Patti has diverse work experience in banking, cash management and payments. Before joining the Federal Reserve, she worked in corporate treasury for 15 years, where she was responsible for supporting and optimizing the customer payment infrastructure. Patti is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Treasury Professional, and has a BSBA and Masters of Accounting degree from the University of Arizona.
Gina Russo, Federal Reserve Bank of New York
Gina Russo is an Assistant Vice President in the Wholesale Product Office at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. The Wholesale Product Office is responsible for strategic planning, product development, and oversight of the Federal Reserve System’s Fedwire® Funds Service, Fedwire Securities Service, and National Settlement Service. Gina has over twenty years of experience in wholesale payments, and in support of the Federal Reserve’s strategies for improving the U.S. payment system, she is currently leading the effort to adopt the ISO 20022 payment messages for the Fedwire Funds Service. Gina holds a B.S. in Information Systems from King’s College and an M.B.A. from Johns Hopkins University.
Eric Guerrino, Financial Services Information Sharing & Analysis Center (FS-ISAC)
Eric Guerrino is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the FS-ISAC. He oversees operations including the Security Operations Center (SOC), IT, Member Services, Intelligence Office, and supports multiple FS-ISAC work groups and committees. He manages vendor relationships and helps to build new public/private partnerships that enhance the security of the financial industry and add value to the membership.
Prior to joining the FS-ISAC, Eric was Managing Director and Senior Advisor to the Head of Operations and Technology Risk Management at BNY Mellon. Previously, Eric was Head of Information Security at BNY Mellon from 1998 through 2008. He served as the firm’s liaison to multiple industry groups established to examine cyber security challenges and associated activities, and threats to critical infrastructure.
Eric was a member of the industry team that helped found the FS-ISAC in 1999. Eric became a director of the FS-ISAC in 2001, and served as chairman from 10/2006 – 12/2008. Eric also served as a director of the Internet Security Alliance, and led various industry initiatives supported by BITS. Eric was the recipient of the 2004 RSA Conference Award for Best Practices in Application Security.
David Jackson, Marketcy
David is a consultant, and sales executive experienced in financial services with focus on global payments processing, blockchain, fintech innovation and real-time payments with real-time fraud detection. He brings this experience from IBM, Oracle, Marketcy and several fintech incubators.
Currently, he is Managing Director of his own company, Marketcy, which is a sales agency representing innovative solutions and bringing their business value to solutions with a special focus on global and real-time payments processing, real-time fraud detection, blockchain, B2B payments, and fintech innovation. David’s focus is on the identification of new markets, product introductions, and commercializing innovation in payments processing and fintech development.
He was involved in both the US Faster Payments Task Force and the US Secure Payments Task Force and remains active with the Business Payments Coalition.
Jonathan Shiery, Navigant Consulting
Jonathan Shiery is a Director in Navigant’s Banking, Insurance & Capital Markets practice at Navigant with 15 years of experience across technology, operations, regulatory change management, and rules and standards development.
Mr. Shiery has advised clients on large scale operating models, playbooks, rules, standards, and day-to-day execution for multi-billion dollar bank M&A integrations and some the largest regulatory settlement and remediation programs in banking history, including the Department of Justice’s Residential Mortgage Back Securities and United States Trustee Bankruptcy Settlements, State Attorneys General National Mortgage Servicing Settlement, and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency Independent Foreclosure Review Settlement. These historic settlements have left a lasting impact on some of the largest Financial Institutions in the United States and reshaped the industry’s standards and practices.
Mr. Shiery holds a BSc in Industrial Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University, MBA from the IE Business School in Madrid, ES, and MSc in Banking and Financial Services from Boston University. He has earned PMP and Scrum certifications and an Executive Strategic Decision Making Certificate from Cornell University. Bradley Wilkes, Open Payment Network
Bradley Wilkes is the Founder and President/CEO of WingCash. Prior to founding WingCash, he founded ProPay, Inc., a subsidiary of publicly traded Total Systems Services, Inc (NYSE:TSS) operating in Lehi, Utah. ProPay is a registered ISO/MSP and third party payment processor for payment card networks (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover) and member Financial Institutions. He was also a co-founder of Authorize.net now owned by Visa. Bradley was a member of the Federal Reserve’s Faster Payments Task Force and a member of the 18 person Steering Committee that advised the Fed on matters related to the work of the Faster Payments Task Force. He was one of six people elected by the non-bank providers segment of the Faster Payments Task Force to work on the implementation of the Faster Payments Governance Framework for the United States. He’s been awarded eight payment related patents by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He received an MBA/TM degree from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Bradley is a co-founder and the President/CCO for ParityPay, Inc.
Eric Dunn, Quicken
Eric Dunn is the CEO of Quicken Inc. He has been part of the Quicken business since its early days – he joined Intuit, Quicken’s previous owner, in 1986, when Quicken was the only Intuit software product, and was employee #4 at Intuit.
Over the course of his 20 years at Intuit (he was away for 10 years), Eric was a programmer who worked on almost all of the early versions of Quicken, including the first investment and payments capabilities; served simultaneously as the CFO through the 1993 IPO and merger with ChipSoft (TurboTax); was the first general manager of the Quicken business; was Intuit’s first CTO; and then led Intuit’s payments business during an additional tour of duty in 2010-2015. Eric retired from Intuit in 2000 to pursue a second career in technology investing, first as an angel investor and then as a General Partner at Cardinal Venture Capital. Eric has served on the board of directors of dozens of companies, including five public companies, and currently serves on the boards of iCIMS, a leading SaaS software acompany, and the Electronic Transactions Association, a payments industry group.
Since August 2015, Eric has been responsible for the Quicken business, initially as the General Manager at Intuit and then, after the March 31, 2016 divestiture, as the CEO of Quicken Inc., the standalone private company, backed by H.I.G. Capital.
Prior to joining Intuit, Eric worked at IBM and then at Bain & Company. Although he has lived in California since 1983, Eric grew up on the east coast. He attended Harvard College and Harvard Business School.
Eric is married and has two kids, one employed (!) and one in college. In his free time, Eric plays tennis and squash and is a piano student. He is also a helicopter pilot and flies a Robinson R44.
David Scola, SWIFT
David has recently been appointed as SWIFT’s Head of North America. He is responsible for key client relationships and business development across the region. Prior to joining SWIFT, David served as the Global Head of Financial Institutions of Corporate Banking at Barclays London. Previously, he held senior positions at Deutsche Bank and Bank of New York in product management and strategy across various transaction banking products including custody, corporate trust, cash, trade and liquidity.
David holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Georgetown University and a Master’s degree in Economic Development from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London.
Andrew Boyajian, TransferWise
Andrew is the Head of North American Banking for TransferWise, a new kind of financial company for people and businesses that travel, live and work internationally.
At TransferWise, he progresses the digital payments space by closely studying existing banking infrastructures and unearthing solutions that better match and exceed customer expectations. Prior to TransferWise, he served as Director of International and Payments at Kickstarter, where he was instrumental in turning a nascent North American idea into an international phenomenon, launching the crowdfunding platform in 17 new markets.
He graduated from Elizabethtown College with a BS in International Business and began his career with Financial Operations roles at Google and Eventbrite. Andrew lives in Brooklyn and in his downtime, he hopes to step foot on the last one or two continents that he hasn’t explored yet.
Kolin Whitley, Visa
Kolin Whitley is a Senior Director within Visa’s North America Risk Group supporting the risk mitigation efforts for the top 25 U.S. Visa issuers. He is an internationally recognized subject matter expert in the fields of fraud and identity management. Prior to joining Visa, Whitley spent more than 20 years in a variety of risk leadership roles supporting payments, financial services and the public sector.
Reed Luhtanen, Walmart
Reed has led Walmart’s public-facing efforts related to payment card security, serving on the executive committee of the Merchant-Financial Services Cybersecurity Partnership and as co-chair of the Partnership’s key working group. Reed is regularly featured as a speaker at financial services events, serving as a voice for Walmart and often the retail industry regarding electronic payments security. Events include the Federal Reserve Banks’ Chicago Payments Symposium, the Association for Financial Professionals Annual Conference, the Merchant-Financial Services Cybersecurity Partnership Media Briefing, and the Merchant Advisory Group/Electronic Transaction Association Mobile Payments Day.
Reed represents Walmart as the Vice President of the Board of Directors of a non-profit standards-setting organization – the Special Interest Group for IIAS Standards, or SIGIS. Reed was also recently selected as the chair of the Food Marketing Institute’s Electronic Payment Systems Committee.
Millicent Calinog, Wells Fargo & Company
Millicent Calinog is a senior vice president and global product management manager with Treasury Management, which offers the industry’s leading treasury solutions on a single global platform. She leads the Treasury Management application program interface (API) and Banking-as-a-Service product strategy.
Millicent’s earlier positions at Wells Fargo include launching the International Product Consulting team and Advisory Council program, as well as product management roles within the Commercial Electronic O_ ce_ (CEO_) portal and Treasury Management teams. Before joining Wells Fargo, she was a senior tax consultant with Arthur Anderson and an attorney.
Millicent received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and a juris doctor degree from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota.
